Working with children

Children are constantly growing and learning and trying to figure out their world and what it all means. They don’t always have the capacity or skills to express themselves properly or even understand why they are feeling or experiencing the things they are. As a result, they can get stuck in behavioural patterns and act out in different ways affecting their happiness at home or school.

Kinesiology can help children to rewire their understanding of their environment helping them find appropriate reactions to different situations enabling them to be their happiest each day.

What can Kinesiology help my child?

Kinesiology can help your child with any issue that is concerning you or holding them back in some way, examples of common issues are listed below.

  • Having trouble dealing with day to day life

  • Concentration at school

  • Wetting the bed/pants

  • Sleep issues

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Confidence and self esteem

  • Nutritional issues

  • Allergic reactions

  • Trauma

  • Phobias

  • Inhibitions and shyness

Who is Kinesiology suitable for?

Kinesiology is non-invasive and is suitable for all genders and ages. I work with babies, children, teenagers, pregnant women and all adults. So whether you child is in the womb, an infant, toddler, kid or teenager Kinesiology can help them.

What happens in my child's Kinesiology session?

Before the session I will ask you, the parent/carer, to complete a Client History form giving your understanding of the issue at hand. Then at the beginning of the session I will ask your child a few simple questions to get their understanding of the situation. For sensitive issues I will talk to the parents about what is appropriate to discuss with the child.

Parents remain in the room with their children. You will play a close supportive physical role if you child is under 6.

The techniques used are non-invasive, using the latest understanding of neuroscience and ancient techniques of traditional Chinese medicine.
